Mission & Goals
YMCA Europe is an umbrella organization that serves more than 40 national YMCA movements throughout Europe. Inspired by our Christian ecumenical mission, we offer administrative support, facilitate networking and programme sharing, organize seminars and events and in accordance with our Strategic Plan serve to enhance and positively influence lives of young people. YMCA Europe cooperates with different public and private European institutions developing projects in different countries. Young people are involved either as beneficiaries or as leaders at various initiatives. Representatives of our member movements meet at the annual General Assembly and set the main goals for each term. A democratically elected Executive Committee together with the Secretary General and the Staff work on the implementation of the Strategy with a special focus on Movement Strengthening.

Communication Activities
YMCA Europe engages in a wide range of dynamic and impactful communication activities to connect with its diverse audience. Through a myriad of events, campaigns, and publications, YMCA Europe ensures that its message reaches far and wide. Vibrant youth gatherings, conferences, and festivals provide platforms for young people to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and collectively address pressing social issues. These events foster a sense of belonging and empowerment, inspiring young individuals to become active agents of positive change in their communities. In parallel, YMCA Europe spearheads powerful campaigns that tackle various topics, ranging from social justice and environmental sustainability to mental health and youth empowerment. These campaigns amplify voices, raise awareness, and mobilize support, driving meaningful societal transformations. Complementing these endeavors, YMCA Europe produces insightful publications, sharing best practices, research findings, and inspirational stories that inspire and inform its network. Through its vibrant communication activities, YMCA Europe ensures that its mission of building a better world reaches individuals of all backgrounds, empowering them to create lasting impact.
