Mission & Goals
MISSION Our mission is to promote parliamentary and public understanding of Indian Traditional Sciences (Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Vastu, Unani and Sangeetam) in the UK/EU and abroad, and to expand and integrate Medical Pluralism in the National Health Service. AIMS Our aim is to connect parliamentarians with academics and civil society groups to inform policy on how its contributions can be harnessed for greater impact on patient’s health choice
EU Legislative Interests
EU Public Health Policies Raise EU Commission/parliamentary and public awareness of the key research, policies, and best practice regarding the contributions offered by the Indian Traditional Sciences Bring together the knowledge and experience of members of the European Commission/parliamentary community, researchers, practitioners and academics in order to develop proposals aimed at influencing policy Encourage Indian Traditional Sciences’ fraternity to share knowledge, experience, and best practice on Ayurveda, Yoga, Jyotish, Vastu, Unani and Sangeetam
Communication Activities
Work closely to link with appropriate government and civil society bodies in the EU, and globally to share best practice by raising awarness for the UN Int'l Day of Yoga, Ayurveda Day and etc in the EU Parliament Encourage international experts and researchers in the field to share their ideas and research findings on a regular basis Publish briefings on issues pertaining to Indian Traditional Sciences for integrated medicines for health.

I am the Secretariat of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Indian Traditional Sciences and not its member (as only the UK parliamentarians can be its members). I am also not member of any other organisation (not run by the EU institutions).

The members of the UK parliament along with me, as Secretariat, work exclusively on voluntary basis and I contribute for my expenses from my own personal income. Since the inception of this Parliamentary Group, there have never been any financial contribution received.
