Mission & Goals
At Alice, we create change that makes Ireland and the world a better place. We are a full-service public relations and public affairs agency, specliaising in working on progressive change campaigns. Our client-base is primarily comprised of non-profit entities, including both charities and public-sector organisations. We are headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and also have an office in Belfast, as well as working in Brussels and across Europe.
EU Legislative Interests
Support for reparations for the Caribbean region through general awareness raising of the issue. Targeted MEPs from former colonial powers in relation to actions their own Governments might take to further the cause of reparations. While no EU legislation or policies were directly targeted, the Global Gateway Investment Agenda and CARIFORUM-EU Economic Partnership Agreement are both relevant to the Campaign's wider work on securing stronger ties between former colonial powers and the Caribbean through reparations.
Communication Activities
Correspondence and engagement with MEPs and their support teams. Facilitation of a drop-in briefing event for MEPs at the European Parliament which included a delegation of Caribbean academics and leaders in the reparations movement providing attendees with more information on the current socio-economic situation in the Caribbean region and the role of European Governments in pursuing reparatory justice.
