Mission & Goals

NGO Algorithm Audit is a European knowledge platform for AI bias testing and normative AI standards. The activities of the NGO are four-folded: 1. Knowledge platform – Bringing together experts and knowledge to foster the collective learning process on the responsible use of algorithms, see for instance our AI policy observatory, white papers and op-eds; 2. Normative advice commissions – Advising on ethical issues that arise in concrete algorithmic practice through deliberative and diverse normative advice commissions, resulting in algoprudence; 3. Technical tooling – Implementing and testing technical tools to detect and mitigate bias, e.g., synthetic data generation and bias detection tool; 4. Project work – Support for specific questions from public and private sector organisations regarding responsible use of AI
