Mission & Goals
Alcogroup SA is a Belgian privately held company headquartered in Brussels. Alcogroup is one of the largest producers and distributors of ethanol for fuel in Europe with production units located in The Netherlands and Belgium. Those units are producing bio-ethanol used as a sustainable biofuel, DDGS (concentrated proteins for the feed industry) and biogenic Co2 (for use in greenhouses, drinks production,...). Alcogroup is also active in the field of industrial and beverage alcohols. Through its global distribution network Alcotra and its two high grade ethanol production sites located in South Africa and Mauritius, Alcogroup provides ethanol to industries in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, food and beverage sector. Europe wants to reach climate-neutrality by 2050. Alco’s ambition is to reach this goal in 2030.
