Mission & Goals
Aggregates Europe represents aggregates producers supplying sand, gravel, crushed rock, marine aggregates, manufactured and recycled aggregates. We promote the profile of the European Aggregates Industry and is the voice of its members in 26 countries. The Industry responds to the demand of 3 billion tonnes per year, comprises some 15,000 companies (mostly SMEs), producing at 26,000 sites involving 187,000 employees (including contractors). Our vision is a Sustainable Industry for a Sustainable Europe. Being a local industry, the Aggregates Industry produces in Europe, for Europe. Since 1987, Aggregates Europe has promoted the interests of aggregates producers by representing its National Member Associations on environmental and health & safety, economic and technical policy. The European Aggregates Industry produces primary and secondary raw materials, contributes to biodiversity during and after extraction and offers increasingly areas producing renewable energy.
