Mission & Goals
Afore Consulting is a European Public Affairs company, based in Brussels with a core strength in financial services, FinTech, sustainable finance and competition policy. Afore Consulting also advises companies and organizations on corporate governance practices, company law, relations with non-EU countries (especially US and Asia), the EU UK partnership, sanctions policy, consumer protection, data privacy, information technology, energy policy, sustainability policy, infrastructure investments, corporate governance, taxation and trade. Additional services provided by Afore Consulting include assisting clients in their regulatory strategies (including initial and ongoing authorisations) and commercial transactions, as well as offering specialised training courses.
EU Legislative Interests
Afore Consulting follows all legislative and non-legislative files impacting the financial services sector; most notably in banking, securities, insurance, asset management, pensions and payments. The team also covers digital services, AI, cyber security, energy policies, sustainable finance, industrial policy, taxation, company law, corporate governance, the EU UK partnership, EU-US relations, sanctions, international trade, the EU budget and the EU's trade agenda.
Communication Activities
Afore Consulting runs the Secretariat of EPIF - the European Payment Institutions Federation. On a regular occasion Afore Consulting runs roundtable discussions under the banner of Afore Consulting in discussion with … (https://events.aforeconsulting.eu/). Afore Consulting is the organiser of the annual Conference on FinTech and Regulation (https://www.fintech2026.eu). We are also a co-organiser of the annual EU-Asia Financial Services Dialogue and Dinner on the fringes of the EU-Asia-Pacific Forum on Financial Regulation. In March 2026 this will take place virtually again in cooperation with ASIFMA .
