Mission & Goals
AIUS is a law firm offering services in the areas of competition law, trade defence, foreign investment and EU law litigation. AIUS represent Swedish and international companies in matters before the Swedish Competition Authority, the European Commission (EC), the Court of Justice of the European Union,(CoJ), as well as before arbitral panels and domestic courts. As a Swedish law firm it is bound by the Swedish Bar Association’s rules and regulations.
EU Legislative Interests
As a Swedish law firm, AIUS provides legal services to clients, mostly companies, within all areas of business law. Therefore, EU policies that are relevant to the firm include regulations and initiatives in the following areas; competition, corporate law, CSR, digital agenda, dispute resolution, state aid, foreign subsidies, trade. This includes the following EU policies: - Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 of 20 January 2004 on the control of concentrations between undertakings (the EC Merger Regulation) Official Journal L 24, 29.01.2004 - Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2003 of 16 December 2002 on the implementation of the rules on competition laid down in Articles 81 and 82 of the Treaty - Council Regulation No 2821/71 on application of Article 85 (3) of the EC Treaty to categories of agreements, decisions and concerted practices - Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/720 of 10 May 2022 on the application of Article 101(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to categories of vertical agreements and concerted practices (VBER). - Regulation (EU) 2016/1036 on protection against dumped imports from non-EU countries - Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1315 of 23 June 2023 amending Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty and Regulation (EU) 2022/2473 declaring certain categories of aid to undertakings active in the production, processing and marketing of fishery and aquaculture products compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty - Regulation (EU) 2022/1925 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 September 2022 on contestable and fair markets in the digital sector and amending Directives (EU) 2019/1937 and (EU) 2020/1828 (Digital Markets Act) - Regulation (EU) 2022/2560 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2022 on foreign subsidies distorting the internal market, and - Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on the screening of foreign investments in the Union and repealing Regulation (EU) 2019/452 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
