Mission & Goals
A22 is a Spanish company which provides services for the start-up and management of sporting competitions, including the Super League. A22 has been involved in the creation, promotion, financing and implementation of the Super League and is to be the main advisor and promotor of the Super League when it begins to operate.

• European Sports Model (European Parliament, CULT Committee own-initiative report, 2024–2029 legislature). • CJEU Case C-333/21 (European Superleague Company SL v FIFA & UEFA, Grand Chamber judgment, 21 December 2023). • Madrid Commercial Court judgment (24 May 2024) applying the CJEU’s reasoning to UEFA/FIFA prior-authorization rules. • Investigation by the Spanish Competition Authority (CNMC) into UEFA’s restrictions on clubs (opened 6 June 2025). • Digital Markets Act (DMA) – first review and consultation (open until 24 September 2025), with implications for digital distribution and platform access in sports. • Commission Recommendation (May 2023) on combating online piracy of sports and live events — currently under assessment, with final report due 17 November 2025.
