Mission & Goals
360° Foodservice is the material-neutral collaborative platform for safe and sustainable service of food and drinks in Europe. The association unites companies that provide reuse and/or single use solutions for safely serving food and beverages to millions of Europeans every day, regardless of the materials that are used. These manufacturers and distributors are joined by suppliers of raw materials, components and technology. 360° Foodservice also welcomes companies in the entire foodservice chain, including foodservice businesses, food delivery companies and end-of-life solution providers. The association aims at leading the responsible and sustainable evolution of the foodservice packaging sector. Our vision encompasses responsible reuse and sensible single use delivering safe and sustainable foodservice packaging systems in Europe. Zero waste. Zero Litter.
EU Legislative Interests
We are currently following: 1. The EC initiative to Keep Non-Compliant Products from EU Market. 2. Directive 94/62/EC on Packaging and Packaging Waste, and its revision. 3. A European Strategy for Plastics in a Circular Economy. 4. Revision of Food Contact Material legislation, currently being assessed by the European Commission. 5. Directive 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment 6. Circular Economy Action Plan 7. EU Green Deal 8. Waste Framework Directive 9. Waste Shipment Regulation 10. Sustainable Products Initiative 11. Initiative to Substitute Single-Use Packaging, Tableware and Cutlery, by Reusable Products in Food Services 12. Communication Activities
• 360° Foodservice takes part in the stakeholder consultations on: a) Directive (EU) 2019/904 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment; b) the revision of the Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste; and c) Ecodesign for Sustainable Products. • Participation in joint industry papers on: a) the implementation of the harmonised marking requirements under Directive (EU) 2019/904 on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment; b) revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive; c) harmonized waste disposal information for consumers; d) protection of the integrity of the Single Market. • Release of Industry position papers on the revision of the Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste and communication of such positions to key European Legislators.
