Mission & Goals
We are the Cyprus-based Investment Adviser of the Netherlands-registered Venture Capital Fund 33East Fund 1 C.V. We are backed by the European Investment Fund (as the main Limited Partner) and our remit is to invest in startups in the pre-seed and seed stage which have a Cyprus connection.
EU Legislative Interests
We are not sure which areas the Commissioner would like to disucss with us, but the main focus is likely to be a discussion around topics linked to Financial Services, in particular the space/markets where we operate (early stage equity/risk capital for SMEs/technology startups). We assume this will include a discussion on prospecitve legislation/regulation linked to Financial Services and also how to ensure Europe keeps up in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

We have been invited to meet with European Commissioner for Finance on 25 September 2025 in Nicosia.
