Mission & Goals
3,14BAN (read “Pi-ban”) is a Ukrainian upcycling brand turning discarded PVC banners, denim and other durable fabrics into stylish, functional fashion and merchandise. The name unites 3.14 (π - endless cycle) with “banner,” expressing our mission to give waste new life. We combine design and circular economy principles to cut plastic waste, CO₂ emissions and resource use. Each item-bags, sleeves, trench coats, interior pieces-preserves the graphic story of its original banner. 3,14BAN creates fair jobs and training for displaced people and youth, runs workshops on sustainable design and partners with companies, festivals and municipalities to scale urban circular solutions. Our goal is to prove that ethical, low-carbon production can be economically viable, aesthetically attractive and socially inclusive-contributing to a beautiful, sustainable and fair Europe in line with the New European Bauhaus vision.

Communication Activities
3,14BAN is an upcycling social enterprise turning discarded PVC banners and textiles into long-life fashion and merchandising products. In line with the EU Circular Economy Action Plan, EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles and related climate and environmental policies, we actively share practical solutions and recommendations with EU stakeholders. Our activities include: Participation in EU-supported events and dialogues – for example, as a finalist of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) Prizes 2025 we presented our circular production model at workshops, exhibitions and panel discussions in Brussels and exchanged ideas with representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament and NEB community actors. Collaboration with EU-funded cultural and innovation programmes such as House of Europe in Ukraine, providing sustainable merchandise and co-creating educational content that highlights EU objectives on circular economy and resource efficiency. Publications and digital outreach – regular bilingual (English/Ukrainian) posts and articles on our website https://314ban.com and social media present measurable data on waste reduction and propose design and policy solutions supporting EU goals on waste prevention, reuse and low-carbon production. Knowledge sharing and campaigns – organisation of open workshops, lectures and networking sessions for municipalities, SMEs and social enterprises to transfer best practices for reusing PVC banners and textiles and to inspire replication of EU policy principles at local level. These actions are designed to inform and engage EU institutions and stakeholders, contributing concrete examples and data for the implementation of EU circular economy and sustainable textile policies. They go beyond simple monitoring and constitute genuine interest representation activities.
