Mission & Goals
Koepel van Internationale Solidariteit – 11.11.11 vzw is the recognized umbrella organisation for international solidarity organisations in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium (www.11.be). The umbrella brings together 50 member organisations in Belgium and is active in local, national, European, and international networks and coalitions. Advancing global justice requires a coherent global approach to injustice and inequality, translated into consistent political and social action. 11.11.11 believes another world is possible and works toward global justice in 3 ways: 1. Solidarity, through support for and collaboration with 60 partner organisations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. 2. Political work and policy advocacy towards governments (Flemish, national, and European), European and international institutions and private sector. 3.Strengthening a broad movement and awareness raising, ensuring that people in Belgium are thoroughly informed and engaged on international solidarity.
