Mission & Goals
EU Legislative Interests
Currently, we are monitoring the developments relating to the Erasmus Programme, and at the moment, the European parliament’s culture and education committee (CULT) is evaluating this programme and we are interested in commenting and making suggestions. The connection between culture and education is taken for granted, however, we believe that specific actions should be inserted in the programme whereby education become a cultural experience. Furthermore, the budget of the EU should increase its share to funding the culture and education programmes. These programmes are heavily over proscribed but are popular and should be viewed as emblematic - EU’s failure regarding Brexit could have been avoided if these popular programmes are more supported and promoted. Furthermore, the European parliament legal affairs committee (JURI) is assessing the EC’s reports on copyright and AI (2025/2058(INI). We are concerned that the right’s of authors is safeguarded. Authors need to ensure that they are properly compensated for the copying of their work. We would consider submitting remarks to any EU consultation regarding the development of copyright in the EU. We plan to undertake an online observation following the debates at the EP committees during the autumn (2025) and winter (2026) in relation to these specific EU policies, and lobby the MEPs through letters, we may consider requesting meetings with MEPs who seem favourable towards our opinions and give them stronger arguments. Furthermore, we may ally with other cultural entities, and lobby on mass. Furthermore, the budget of the EU should increase its share to funding the culture and education programmes. These programmes are heavily over proscribed but are popular and should be viewed as emblematic We are interested in promoting our work to the European Parliament and the European commission our work in culture and related fields. IDC has carried out diverse activities, which are transmitted online. The International Delphic Academy (IDA) as the think tank of the International Delphic Council (IDC) has set itself the goal of promoting science, research, art, culture and education. The aim is to bring scientific findings to life through educational concepts and to serve international understanding. For example: - 2021 IDC and IDA launched the educational project ‘Our History, Our Culture’, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) with the support of the Centre for Historical Research Berlin of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the European Academy Berlin. School groups met at the historic location in Kreisau/Krzyzowa, Poland to create together impressive artistic works: ‘No More War!’ The results were presented in the Palace Schönhausen, Berlin. -2022, 2023 and 2024 IDC and IDA continued the educational project. -2023 IDC and IDA launched the project ‘Diversity shows its face - Berlin sends a message of peace’, funded by the Berlin State Chancellery / European Department. In the districts of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, Mitte, Lichtenberg and Pankow the initiative was presented to an enthusiastic audience. -2024 the cultural organisation celebrated its 30 Years Anniversary under the motto: ARTS CREATES PEACE. The Festivity took place in the historic Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Haus in Berlin. Artists presented the 6 Delphic Art Categories
Communication Activities
Cultural actions and Communication activities An emblematic activity of ours is the Delphic Art Wall: "DELPHIC ART WALL – A WALL THAT UNITES" was developed by young people and successfully tested: a topic and its history, personal viewpoints and opinions promote public debate. This is an ongoing activity. THE DELPHIC ART WALL is driven by a specific format and theme: It creates a long ribbon of interconnected, waterproof and weatherproof painting walls, each measuring 100x180cm, dedicated to the theme of WATER. All painting, drawing, writing, and collage techniques are permitted. The important thing is that students express their opinions on Europe and the globally controversial topic of WATER in an artistic way. The painting festival is intended to be a celebration of cultures and the arts everywhere, within a colorful and joyful event, with good conversations and music in a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. The wall is powerful communication tool, working for peace, cultural expression and diversity which targets young people who are impressionable and eager to learn. Further communication activities include traditional means – like our website and use of social media like Whatsapp and Youtube where activities can be viewed. However, we have an extensive internal communication which takes place through zoom and through regular e-mailing and use of Whatsapp. Meetings take place at least once a month.
