The Battolyser® technology was invented at Delft University of Technology and spun out to Battolyser Systems. The company was founded in 2018 and is located in Schiedam. In September 2023, Battolyser Systems received a €2 million subsidy from the European Commission under the Just Transition Fund: https://www.battolysersystems.com/news-jtf-award In October 2023, Battolyser Systems signed a €40 million financing agreement with European Investment Bank, aimed at scaling up and commercialising its Battolyser® stack system: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_23_4921 In March 2024, Battolyser Systems has been signed an EU Innovation Fund Grant.
